1 (18 1/4 oz) package yellow cake mix

1 egg

16 tablespoons melted butter (divided)

1 (8 oz) package softened cream cheese

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 (16 oz) box powdered sugar


13 by 9-inch baking pan (lightly greased)


Prepare the Base:

In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, 1 egg, and 8 tablespoons of melted butter.

Mix well using an electric mixer.

Pat the mixture into the bottom of the greased baking pan.

Make the Creamy Filling:

In another large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.

Add 2 eggs, vanilla, and the remaining 8 tablespoons of melted butter. Beat together.

Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
